-Understanding how to feed bees in the winter.

-Hive ventilation vs. wrapping.
-How to raise bees of winter physiology (which live 4-6 months).
-Knowing when to feed liquid and when to shift to Winter-Bee-Kinds.
-Overwinter with a solid bottom board vs. a screen bottom board.
-Overwinter with or without a super above the brood area.
-Upper vent or not?

FALL FEEDING IS SO IMPORTANT!

Beekeepers often fail to keep enough food strategically placed in the hive for maximum brood build up.  Studies have shown that bees need protein (pollen) as much if not more than just sugar or sugar water.
