Healthy Colonies Will Swarm

We are David and Sheri Burns from Long Lane Honey Bee Farms and Honeybeesonline.com. Spring has sprung! It's great seeing the bees flying out and foraging so early here in Illinois.

Many of you will need to make spring splits or else your colony is likely to swarm. I've just produced a brand new video on making splits. Come on and let's take one of my overwintered hives apart and split it three ways! I've posted the video below.

Your Bees May Do Some Strange Things. What Will You Do?
Knowing what to do and when is the tricky part of beekeeping. Let me be your mentor. I have a special mentorship program called BeeTeam6 where you can call, email or text me concerns or questions you are having about your bees. Plus you receive a weekly tip and a weekly instructional beekeeping video. Even if you are not keeping bees yet, this is perfect to help you gain the education you need before you start. Or if you are starting this year, why not have the extra peace of mind by having someone you can consult.

Some Of You Are Getting Started Brand New!! Watch My Videos Below:

Don't Waste Your Time Chasing After Ineffective Feeders
Here's a nifty little feeder I really use a lot. Sometimes I place it on top of the frames of a new split with an empty shell around it. But I really used it a lot this year in late winter and early spring. I placed these out in my bee yards for bees to fly and gather up the 1:1 sugar water when there is nothing else available in late winter or fall. They are very easy to fill, clean and refill.

WARNING! THERE COULD BE A LOT OF SWARMS THIS YEAR!!
With a mild winter, there could be more swarms this year. Now that people know you are a beekeeper you may be getting a ton of calls to capture swarms and what an inexpensive way to add more hives to your bee yard. But, you need the equipment to place them in before you get the call or your bees swarm. We have the solution:

Too often beekeepers do not have spare equipment handy when their hives swarm. Often people call beekeepers to come and remove a swarm. Wouldn't it be nice to have this handy little hive ready to place that swarm into? It consists of one screen bottom board with entrance reducer cleat, 1 deep hive body with ten wooden frames and foundation, 1 inner cover and one top cover with metal covering. This hive also comes a handy tie-down strap to keep the whole unit together during transport. You will feel much more confident with this little handy transportation hive all ready. Plus the inner cover is screened as well to keep the bees in the box. Order today before swarm season catches you off guard. Order Now.
